Novice

The Novice drop-in is designed for players who are still developing their skills or simply want to enjoy some casual play. It’s a great opportunity to improve your game, practice your shots, and meet other new players in a friendly, non-competitive atmosphere.

1. LEARN 2 PLAY

Cost: $150 per person

SKILL LEVEL: None/Beginner

Whether you've heard of pickleball or played a few times, this program is the perfect way to kickstart your game in a fun and supportive setting. Our NCCP certified instructors will guide you through a 4-week session, covering the fundamentals, rules, key strokes, and strategies essential for playing and improving in this exciting sport. By the end of the program, you'll feel confident in all aspects of the game and ready to compete. All equipment is provided. (Afterward, we recommend our Advanced Beginner - Growing Your Game series to take your skills even further.)

2. LEVEL UP

SKILL LEVEL: Advanced Beginner/Early Intermediate

Are you ready to move to the next level? This 4-week program is meant for players who are looking to improve their game through repetition and reinforcement of techniques, skills and strategies via a variety of drills and drill-based games. Building on our Growing Your Game program, players should have a very solid grasp of the game and are focused on improving their quality of shots, the strategy of placement, the importance of pace and their court movement. Level up your game in this productive and fun environment.

3. GROW YOUR GAME

SKILL LEVEL: Advanced Beginner

This 4-week session is designed for those who have completed our Learn 2 Play program or already have basic pickleball knowledge and want to take their skills to the next level. Building on the foundational concepts, skills, and strategies you've learned, this program will focus on refining the quality of your strokes and shots, helping you apply them confidently in game situations. Upon completion, we recommend our Advanced Beginner – Level Up program series to continue advancing your game.

Monthly clinics

1. Learn 2 Play

Time: 10 - 11:30 am
Cost: $50 per person


SKILL LEVEL: None/ Beginner

Come join our certified TPA instructors for a 1.5-hour introduction to pickleball, where you'll learn the fundamentals of this exciting game in a fun, welcoming environment. We'll cover key skills such as grip, stroke techniques, court positioning, basic rules, and the serve and return. The session will wrap up with a mini-game to help you apply everything you've learned. This is just the start-afterward, you'll be eager to advance to our Advanced Beginner sessions! All equipment, including paddles, is provided.

2. Drills & Play Soft Shots

Time: 11:45 am - 1:15pm
Cost: $65 per person


SKILL LEVEL: Advanced Beginner to Early Intermediate

While power shots often get the fan fare, soft shots play a vital role in pickleball. In this 1.5 hour clinic, we'll teach you how to properly execute the dink shot, a delicate and precise shot. You'll learn about the placement of the soft shot and the strategies to keep your opponents off balance and in defense mode. Plus proper court positioning, footwork, and movement which will have you playing pickleball and not just reacting to the next shot. Drills and drill-based games will help reinforce the concepts/skills that have been introduced to the participants with the last remaining 30 mins being mentored gameplay.

3. Drill & Play Volleys

Time: 1:30 - 3:00pm
Cost: $65 per person


SKILL LEVEL: Advanced Beginner to Early Intermediate

This learning-based clinic focuses on one topic: volleys. You'll learn the proper techniques for different volleys - block, punch, roll - and when and how to use these shots invarious areas of the court. Handling and controlling pace at the non-volley zone will also be covered, giving you the confidence to control the game. Drills and drill-based games will reinforce the concepts and skills introduced, with the last 20 minutes dedicated to mentored gameplay.

YOUTH PICKLEBALL TOURNAMENT

Date: Saturday, April 26, 2025

Ages: 9 to 16


FORMAT: Round Robin format with rotating partners.  Winners determined by highest point total.

Join us at The Court House on Saturday, April 26th, for a friendly and exciting Youth Pickleball Tournament! Perfect for players aged 9 to 16 with some pickleball experience, this round robin event features rotating partners to keep the games fresh and fun. Points will be tallied individually during play, so you can challenge yourself and track your progress throughout the tournament. It’s all about having a great time, meeting fellow players, and sharing the love for pickleball! Don’t miss this chance to hit the court and show your stuff!

ELBOW'S UP! PICKLEBALL TOURNAMENT

FORMAT: Mixed Doubles Round Robin with Finals

Oh, Canada! Get ready to serve up some fun at The Court House on Saturday, May 3rd. It’s the ELBOW’S UP! Tournament, where pickleball and true north spirit collide!

This doubles round robin event with finals has divisions for Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced players, so everyone gets in on the action. And because we’re all about the Canadian vibes, there’s a special prize for the player dressed “Most Canadian”. Plaid, Canadian tuxedos, or anything red and white — be sure to bring your Eh-game! Division winners will take home bragging rights and fun prizes, but the real win is celebrating a day of great games, great friends, and a little extra love for our home and native land.

Registration is just $40 per player — don’t miss this chance to play your heart out, Canadian style!
